Health Benefits of Kombucha Tea

Kombucha is a dark, slightly fruity, highly effervescent tea drink often consumed for its purported health benefits. At times the drink is also referred to as, due to the distinct culture of yeast and bacteria that exist naturally in the drink. Often when people hear about kombucha they assume this is another type of tea, and while there are indeed some differences between the cultures in this type of tea, the benefits are almost identical.

The health benefits of kombucha may seem a little esoteric, but in fact, there are many health benefits to drinking it. For instance, the fermentation process makes the tea acidic, thus the name – making it a great choice for those who have a diet low in acidity. There have also been reports that drinking the tea have been found to help with fatigue and depression.

While the health benefits of the tea are great, the most common claim made about it is that it tastes like coffee! However, there are several ways that people can prepare kombucha in a different way than traditional coffee brewing. The best way, however, is to make your own. Not only is it easier but it is also a lot cheaper!

The process of making your own kombucha starts with making a simple, homemade tea base. This can be made by combining filtered water, vinegar, sugar, and water. Some people prefer to add a pinch of Cayenne pepper to their mix in order to have a slightly spicy taste. However, it is not necessary to do this!

Once the tea base is ready, it is ready to add some type of flavour to the tea bag. Kombucha tea bags are available in many different flavours, including raspberry, mint, and licorice. Other popular flavours include cinnamon, clove, ginger, and lemon.

Kombucha brewing can take about two to three hours per cup, depending on how strong you want your kombucha to be. The final step is adding the kombucha brew into some type of container or bottle. {And leaving it sit in the bottle to age. After about a week, you will be able to pour it into cups or bottles, depending on the flavor you choose. Many people enjoy drinking their own Kombucha tea with nothing added at all.

When it’s time to serve the drink, just add one or two spoons of sugar or honey to the glass. For those with a sweet tooth, you may also want to add a touch of fruit in the glass. Most people enjoy using cranberry or blueberry extract in their kombucha.

Kombucha tea can really be a great addition to any diet. Whether you choose to drink it plain with no additives or as a sweet treat, this type of tea is an excellent choice. And can even be enjoyed by those with a health diet. If you are looking for a tasty Kombucha tea that doesn’t take too much time, you will enjoy a glass of your favourite tea from Toyo Kombucha.
